Lotus cars and staying with friends.

With Janet away in Perth helping to look after grand daughter Poppie while Damien is away on the rigs for his month long hitch, and mum Hannah is busy at the Police Academy in Perth, I took the opportunity to head south to catch up with a few friends who I hadn’t seen since before my overseas jaunt.  The fact that there were also a couple of Lotus related activities happening down south didn’t make the decision too hard ! With Janet away I naturally had to take Trooper with me, so instead of giving my new Lotus a first long trip, Trooper (the dog) and I packed everything up into Troopie (the car) and on the 26^th October, headed south.

With Janet flying back and forth to Perth, much of her time in Qld was spent working in the garden while I was doing chores around the house.  When one is away for 2 ½ years, with house / dog sitters in the house, there are lots of things that just need attention everywhere – Not surprising really, considering no real maintenance had been done on the house in so long.  So between the garden needing attention, and pavers and pool pumps and fish ponds and 101 other things all needing some TLC.

A lot of car type activities.

Lots of things have been happening, so in a quick attempt to catch up with life, I will just do a summary of what was going on. Living on my own half the time, buying a new Lotus and learning about Austin-Healeys !
